What is a CSA?
CSA Stands for Community Supported Agriculture. CSA allows residents to have direct access to high quality, fresh produce grown locally by regional farmers. When you become a member of a CSA, you're purchasing a “share” of vegetables from a regional farmer. This locally based economic model was influenced by the biodynamic agriculture ideas formulated by Rudolf Steiner, the founder of Waldorf Education. Read more about the CSA model of relational-economics on Wikipedia.
Where do the vegetables come from?
Hepworth Farms in nearby Milton, NY, an organic family farm owned and operated by women, growing more than 400 varieties of organic vegetables. Amy Hepworth, a 7th generation farmer, was named 2015 Hudson Valley Farmer of the Year.
